Economics

Lecturer in Economics

I apply experimental methods to questions in microeconomics, with a particular focus on how contest and auction design shape individual decisions.
About
I am interested in applying experimental methods to study a range of topics in microeconomics. My current research examines how the design of contests and auctions influences incentives, risk-taking, participation, and feedback-seeking.
My work bridges academic and applied settings. Before entering academia full time, I worked as a data specialist, where I used behavioural economics, experimental methods, statistical modelling, and AI-informed analysis to generate insights into human behaviour. I remain motivated by research that combines rigorous evidence with practical relevance.
Current Focus
Contest design, auction design, information disclosure, and the role of luck and incentives in economic decision-making.
