Yang (Laura) Liu
Research Fellow, Lab Manager
Experimental Economics Laboratory, University of Melbourne
Welcome to my personal website!

I am interested in applying experimental methods to study various topics in microeconomics. My current papers focus on how the design of contests and auctions affects individual decisions.

I am also the lab manager of the Experimental Economics Laboratory at the University of Melbourne. My responsibilities include supporting the academic staff at the department to conduct experiments and maintain the lab.

As a passionate researcher dedicated to making a real-world impact, I have worked in both academic and industry landscapes. Previous experience as a data specialist allowed me to leverage behavioural economics, experimental, statistical modelling, and AI to gain insights into human behaviour and drive positive change. I am committed to using my skills to contribute to meaningful projects that enhance the world around us.

I am on the market this year and will attend the 2025 ASSA Meeting.
